“You are not your job. You’re not how much money you have in the bank. You’re not the car that you drive. You’re not the contents of your wallet. You’re not your fucking khakis. You are all-singing, all-dancing, crap of the world.” — Fight Club
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the superficial aspects of life. It’s hard not to want the latest-and-greatest new gadget or pair of shoes; it’s easy to be envious of people who, seemingly, have it all. We end up wanting it all, too.
But then life comes and slaps you in the face. Life reminds you what makes it worth living.
Unfortunately, sometimes a tragic event or circumstance shakes us enough to wake us up.
When I have one of these “come-to-Jesus” moments, I end up super irritable and annoyed with people who spend too much time focusing on things that, in the end, don’t actually matter.
The things that matter? Family. Health. Love. Happiness. And that’s it.
Seriously.
Cut out the bullshit. Cut out the drama. Cut out the people who fail to lift you up.

My girl crush on you continues. I’m not always great about clicking over to say just how awesome you are for being so authentic. So just thank you for being you.
Let’s hang soon? 🙂
