writer’s workshop: ailments

I am ill. I have a rare disease. The symptoms include:
-extreme bouts of laziness.
-anxiety and inability to rest.
-extreme mood swings, including, but not limited to, giggling one second and freaking out the next.
-the urge to nap at any and all points during the day.
-inability to perform daily job functions.
-completely checking out of your responsibilities.

If you have these you may be urged to:
-relocate to another state.

Today is my LAST day of work in Ohio. Monday is my first day of work in Syracuse.

Not so Funny Thing… I really am sick. This is definitely not allergies. Awesome. Right before a huge weekend. True Story.

This has been part of Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop series! The question: What’s ailing you? Diagnose yourself with a syndrome.

Oh I meet a diagnosis of anxiety very well. I'm sure I could come up with a few medical syndromes too, but it is probably best I don't!

I bet you will be feeling better once everything is settled. Anxiety can be very nasty on the body, and people often overlook how much of an effect, psychologically and physically, it has on us.

Ahh, the perils of Geographic Dysmorphia (my name for your ailment).

You are never yourself if you're living in a place you find lacking.

Glad that your cure is only days away!

Seems like we all get sick just before big events. I always suspect it is the stress that does it.

Get well and good luck in Syracuse (and be ready for the winters!).

Maybe a game of Tag is what you need to feel more chipper, in which case Tag, You're It. The instructions to this weekly game are posted on my blog. I hope you'll come out and play!

if i were to diagnose myself, i would say i suffer from…

neurotic-ness?? haha. i don't even know. and my symptoms are pretty dang close to yours.

mostly, i'm just lazy, unmotivated, occasionally irritable.

hope you feel better soon. <3
