{ why I’m this way }

I’m not gonna lie. I have been majorly down lately.

I’ve noticed. BF’s noticed. You’ve noticed.

So first and foremost I want to thank you all for being so supportive of me lately. It has not gone unnoticed.

I also wanted to fill you all in on what has been raining on my parade.

First, I was sick pretty much the entire month of January. Then I took a pretty nasty fall in the parking lot & work in February and tore my knee up. I’ve been doing physical therapy 3 times a week, seeing another doctor once a week, and my knee has gotten worse.

On top of that, my knee injury is causing some serious sleep deprivation. The aches & pains are keeping me awake pretty much all night long. Take note that Rachel on 1-2 hours of sleep = crying, crabby, angry, hot mess.

& this workout-a-holic has not been able to hit the gym at all. The injury + sleep deprivation = no workouts for me = no endorphins released = UGH.

Plus BF & I haven’t seen each other in 3 weeks. That’s the longest we’ve gone without a visit, but we won’t be seeing each other until next weekend = 4 weeks = Double UGH.

It’s really not like me at all to be so, well, depressed. I’m generally a very happy-go-lucky person. I know it’s temporary, but it’s definitely been a difficult road for me lately. Not asking for your pity, just saying thanks for being there for me y’all!! So thank you for putting up with my crabbiness and my emotional-mess-ness. I appreciate YOU! 🙂

    When it rains it pours. At least you've recognized that it's only temporary and will get better.

    I bet if you hang of for one more week seeing BF will put you back on the right track!

    aww HUGS. Soon it will be Spring time and everything will seem better. Hopefully you will be all healed and rested up so at least you can take walks outside, if not runs. And just think of how wonderful it will feel to be with your guy next week! When I used to be sad when waiting for my boy to visit in college, I would plan a special treat/day for him. So during the week leading up to seeing him, I would be working on the treat/project and it would make me feel closer to him. Maybe something like that would help? Hang in there girl. I've definately been there, long distance… saddness… all that stuff. I know it's difficult, but keep thinking of the positives.

    Go easy on yourself–it happens to everyone at some point in their life! Hopefully spring will renew your energy and get you back to where you want to be! I read a quote today that said “Spring is Natures Way of saying Lets Party!”

    Yikes, that stinks. I'm sorry that so many things happened all in such a short time frame. Hopefully, this next week will fly by so that you can see BF soon!

    Sending you a BIG hug pretty girl! I know far too well how hard the long distance thing is. It just makes the little, every day bad things seem so much worse. Hang in there!!

    I think we all go through times like these, but that doesn't make it any easier! Hopefully next weekend's visit with the bf restores ya, and that knees feels better real soon!

    I am so sorry you have been feeling this way. That really stinks about your knee.

    And, it goes without saying, how much it stinks about you and BF. I had a L.D.R. for 2 years or so while I was at college- it is so hard.

    I hope you feel better, physically and emotionally, REAL SOON!!
