weekly mantra //

I managed to schedule a few guests posts for this week while we’re on vacation in North Carolina. But I failed to schedule my weekly mantra.

I know it’s not a big deal, but I find taking a few moments to reflect on what I want to be my mantra for the week is important for my well-being.

And this week, I’m keeping it simple.

I’m on my first family vacation since Chad & I got married.

Sure, I may have had 12 weeks off from work after Ari was born, but guys!! that was NOT a vacation! I promise you, that was the most rough 3 months of my entire life.

So we are pretty overdue for some rest and relaxation.

My mantra for this week is simple: Unwind. Life has changed a lot in the last year. I’m not certain if I’ve ever fully absorbed how much this has taken a toll on me, or even on us as a family unit. So pretty much my only goal of this week and the only thing on our vacation “agenda” is to unwind; to find time away from the computer, away from work, away from our chores at home, and relax.

Enjoy, my loves. And wherever you find yourself this week, remember the importance of letting yourself unwind.
