This weekend I stayed off social media almost entirely. I avoided emails; I avoided blogging & twitter; I stayed off instagram; but I played around on Pinterest a bit. And guys!! It was refreshing to take a technology break!! Chad & I have decided we need to do that more often. ๐
This week will, by default, be far less stressful than last week. Last week was kind of a perfect storm of stress. So I’m pretty happy that it’s over.
I believe in staying on a schedule. My type-A personality is obsessed with routine. Unfortunately, that means that when I have to stray from our usual routine, I stress a teeny bit. But I try to keep myself in check and acknowledge that it’s good to be flexible [and healthy!].
I’m excited that we are finally starting to use Ari’s nursery. We’ve been co-sleeping with him in our room, but that’s about to change. And excited is an understatement. But I’m also kind of nervous. I’ve always had him in the room with me. What if he won’t go back to sleep after we feed him? Sigh. We shall see!
I’m addicted to the post-workout feeling. Even when I’m exhausted from waking up early, I still feel awesome after a workout.
I’m wishing for sunshine. It’s way easier to make it through a long week if the sun is shining.
I’m happy to have a husband who accepts me at my worst and loves me still. As I mentioned above, I was a bit stressed last week and it made me a crazy lunatic. And had a bit of a short temper. Luckily, we addressed it and I feel supported and loved. ๐ He is such a patient and caring man! And I’m lucky to have him.
Weekly mantra:
I took a technology break too but with the snow we got on Thursday and Friday and being off of work, I played a little too much on Pinterest – but I blame it on the fact that i Hadn’t been on in awhile!
I need a technology break bad! Hope that you have a much easier week!
Please update how it went with him sleeping in his own room. OUr little girl is 4 months also, and I am TERRIFIED to put her in her room, and she sleeps through the night! Good luck!
Oh, girl! Do it!! ๐ Last night went OK. He still woke up every 2.5-3 hours… but I know that it’s still healthier for us. Especially as a couple. We need to have a space that is ours, without the baby.
I agree, a break is nice! i left my phone at home one day last week and nothing tragic happened!!! shocker!
