{ weekly mantra }

This week I’m hoping + praying that Baby L makes his grand entrance. Otherwise I’m going to lose my mind.

I believe that Baby L is well worth the wait. But daaaang, is it killing me that he’s taking his time to get here!

I’m addicted to keeping the floors clean. Like, obsessively clean. Especially the kitchen floor. It’s driving me crazy to step on anything. So I’ve been sweeping and vacuuming like a crazy person.

I wish that people would respect that they’ll be notified when Baby L is born. Cause by every afternoon last week, after dozens of calls and texts, I would break down and cry. I hated having to tell everyone “No, he’s not here. Yes, I know you’re disappointed. But we are even more disappointed.” πŸ™

I’m happy to have a husband who accepts why I’m neurotically cleaning the house and who will hold me when I cry. He’s amazing and I can’t wait to see him with our baby for the first time!

    I know what you mean about the floors!! I told J the last thing we’re doing before leaving for the hospital is vacuuming. Crazy much??? Yes πŸ™‚

    And I’m sorry about what others are saying. I know they mean well, but you don’t want to hear that they’re disappointed! That is NOT encouraging.

    I’m thinking about you!! Crossing my fingers that THIS is the week (mostly for your sanity, this waiting game is no fun!)

    Hang in there! You’ve done a fantastic job carrying him this long! My biggest piece of unsolicited advice is to lay in bed an extra few minutes in the morning/at night & just enjoy not being needed immediately. πŸ™‚

    Many thoughts & prayers for a healthy labor & delivery. Keep reminding yourself that you CAN do it! Those newborn snuggles are not far away!! Best wishes! Can’t wait to see a pic of your new little love and hear how it went.

      Thank you! πŸ™‚ I have definitely been staying in bed longer than usual… even if I’m not actually sleeping! Just having those few minutes of vegging out in bed have been lovely.

    I think we can firmly blame Facebook on people wanting to know this rightthisinstant! I know with my engagement, we told a few people but didn’t announce it until after our families had seen everything and it made people mad. But I feel you need to tell the important people then you’ll pass it along when you’re ready.

    Good luck with your upcoming delivery!
