Ya’ll! I am beyond — BEYOND — excited for this week! I’ve been very ‘mum’s the word’ about my world, as of late. But this week is going to be amazing! Not only does Ari have 3 karate classes this week [which is just beyond adorable], but I have an all-Ohio beer and food pairing event AND an event at the Vitamix store [insert 500 exclamation points!]!
All of this comes on the tailend of a super beautiful weekend that included movie nights with Ari, a trip to RetroDog after Ari’s karate class, dinner dates, and a family hike + climb at the Gorge Metropark! I mean, it was sixty degrees in February — in OHIO. Say, whaaaat?! The only thing that could have made it better would be if Chad hadn’t had to work all weekend. But lucky for me and the kids, we had Mimi + Poppy in town to hang out with us.

I’m grateful for opportunities and connections that blogging and social media have brought into my life. It may seem weird, but I’ve created awesome IRL (in real life) connections and friendships with SO many of these awesome women!
I’m so content when my children and I are on a schedule. Last week was so crazy busy, but we worked like a well-oiled machine. Sure, it was hectic; but it went by so quickly and with very few hiccups (considering).
I wish for the blessing of health this week. We’ve been semi-healthy as of late, but all of us have battled a cold or cough off and on for a while now. And I’d really just love — and need — everyone to be on their a-game, healthwise, this week.
I’m really happy that I was able to spend another weekend surrounded by love and family and sunshine. These silly weekends — the ones where nothing in particular is planned — are what truly make my heart happy.
Weekly Mantra:

This just feels really right! ย Hoping to shed some negative energy and invite in all of the positive vibes this week! Anyone have tips as to how they stay positive?!
I love that mantra! I’m glad you had a great weekend too. Sending you good vibes and hoping that this week and great for you!
I love the weekly mantra! And congrats on all of your upcoming (exciting!) events!

Congrats on all the exciting stuff you have coming up! And I really like this week’s mantra! ๐
Wonderful you were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather over the weekend. We did the same. Grandparents are always the best to hang out with.
I have to agree about the weather, I’m in Ohio too and I’m floored with how great it is in February. I’m just kind of holding my breath and wondering when winter is going to descend upon us! ? I love your mantra! I need to do this more because I am notorious for saying sorry and I can see how saying thank you instead would make a world of difference. I hope you and your family have a great week!!
I love the idea of replacing “I’m sorry” with “thank you!” I’m so glad I read this today!
I need to remember your weekly mantra! Such nicer ways to say things!
Um, an event at the Vitamix store?! TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!
Girl, I don’t even know HOW this is my life right now! I’m totally geeking out!! ?
I love the positivity and attitude of gratitude! Glad your week went well and health is returning. I just got over a horrible cold. Thank God for our health. ๐
Love your weekly mantras! We visited my grandparents this weekend as well. It’s wonderful to watch my daughter play with her great grandparents, especially since I didn’t get the luxury to meet any of mine.
Love that mantra!
Isn’t this weather just grand? I’m enjoying it all while we can because I know it’ll be cold again soon!
Also, I just read that mantra last week as well and I love it! I’ve been utilizing it and really trying to replace a lot of “sorry’s” with “thank you’s”. It feels good!
How awesome are your weekly mantras!!! LOVE it! Have a fabulous weekend with Ari. And color me a little jealous about your Vitamix event ๐
Sounds like a lot of good things happening in your world! Hard work is paying off ๐
That is so great! Such positivity!
Awe sounds like a fulfilling week you had. ๐
Love your mantra!
Great mantra! I keep a gratitude journal and that helps me when things get tough/overwhelming … just to look back at all the good in my life.
Love the Gratitude & Mantra at the end of the post! Staying positive is great for self care!

I love that mantra so much.
I love your replacement of words….sometimes we need to remember we need to encourage ourselves like we encourage others!
Your weekly mantra! Something I definitely needed to read and need to do!
