What. A. Week!
It’s been a fun ride working 2-11PM. And it’s definitely given me some extra time with Ari during the day. So I kinda feel like I’m on a roll with this whole working mom thing! It feels awesome!
Also? I’ve vacuumed, cleaned the whole house & done the dishes every. single. DAY. this week! That alone?? Makes me straight-up proud.
Like, insanely proud. In a weird way.
In the first week on the new shift I was able to take Ari to his first ever story time, worked out at the gym (twice!), took him to the creative kids event at the Akron Art Museum, had the car seat checked at AAA, got my haircut, AND I got an oil change.
I may not have slept, but dang it, I was a fun mom! Ha!
I had planned to keep the momentum going this weekend, but just before Chad was going to pick Ari up from the sitter, he threw up all over her.
Ugh. Ugh, ugh UGH!
My poor baby. In his 16 months, he’s only been sick twice — one was a really long cold; the other was his egg allergy drama. So this was his first time throwing up. Like, actual big-kid vomit. 🙁
I came home during my lunch break (which is really a dinner break) to come home and give Ari snuggles and kisses. He was being super clingy. I held him while he threw up again. My poor baby didn’t even cry, but his mama sure did!
So our weekend was spent co-sleeping, sipping on ginger ale + pedialyte, and taking lots of naps together. Seriously. I didn’t leave the house ONCE. I can’t remember the last time that has happened.
Now he’s healthy and happy again. And we’re just trying to catch up on life! Ha!
love that first photo, too cute. glad he’s feeling better!
