weekend round up // a week late.

I’m still crawling out of the hole that is my single-week. And I’ve YET to post about the weekend before they even left! Cause we weekended hard that weekend, friends. Hard.

Friday the 22nd was humid as heck. Moosh and I figured that out quickly when we went for our run. We stepped onto the trail and sweat just poured off of both of us. Ugh! But I finished a run with Moosh, albeit not my fastest run of all time. The rest of the day was spent dancing around the house acting goofy. Which was just what we both needed.

Saturday the 23rd I worked. Obvy. Cause it’s what I do.

Sunday the 24th should have been a day of rest, right?? Wrong. Totally, totally wrong.

I met up with my running partner at 7am to run 8 miles. Well, she ran 11; I just ran the first 8 with her. (Girl is a ROCKSTAR! She’s doing her first half ironman in just one week!).

After I finished my run, Moosh and I drove up to Tremont for Yoga Rocks the Park.

I knew it was a shot in the dark bringing him to any event where he should stay still, but my expectations for Moosh were super low. My experience with YRP is that it’s a very chill environment. I knew if we stayed near the outskirts and if I was prepared to chase him, we’d be fine. And we were.

I was able to work my way through several vinyasas before calling it quits and settling in for some henna. Moosh almost ruined it before it dried, but we (the henna artist) quickly fixed it! It dried, it peeled, and turned out awesome. (OK, second picture isn’t awesome. But it was dark and I was holding Mooshie’s hand.)

After Moosh ran through Lincoln Park, playing like a fool, before we hit up Tremont Taphouse for brunch!

sunday2

It was my first time to the Taphouse and I was impressed. They really went out of their way to accommodate me and Moosh. They were super busy and the hostess saw the look of panic in my eyes from holding a hungry hangry toddler.

Moosh ended up napping for 3+ hours on Sunday and it was gloooooorious! I was so happy to spend some serious one-on-one time with Moosh before they left for Denver on Monday. And we couldn’t have had a better weekend for it!
