the thanksgiving meal plan

So tomorrow is the big day (aka the day I ruin make our first solo Thanksgiving dinner)! I’m honestly excited and terrified at the same time. I’ve done my best to prepare everything as far in advance as possible.

So here is how Thanksgiving dinner is looking:

Smoked Turkey (BF is helping)

Twice Baked Potatoes

Grandma’s Corn Bread Dressing

Broccoli and Cheese caserole

2-1lb frozen chopped broccoli
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
2 cans of milk
bisquick
butter
cheddar cheese

In a 9×13 baking pan, layer the frozen chopped broccoli in the bottom of the pan. In separate bowl, mix both cans of soup with 2 cans of milk together and pour over the top of the broccoli. Cut buter into a couple handfuls of Bisquick to make a crumble topping. Cover the soup mixture with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover cheese with crumble topping. Bake at 350 degrees 30-45 minutes until browned and bubbly.

And for dessert, I made an ice cream cake!

{we’ll see before and after pictures on Friday. This picture is form RealSimple, mine will hopefully look just as good!}

And as an extra dessert cause two people need two desserts? we have a pumpkin pie!

Homemade ice cream cake. Sounds like a winner to me!! And I'm sure it will come out better than the picture. Regardless, it sounds delicious and I'm drooling.

Your whole menu sounds perfect love.

Delicious!! We add water chestnuts to the family brocolli casserole, which adds crunchy texture to it. SO GOOD!
    Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!!
