thank you, weekend.

Oh, weekend.
What a blessing you have been!

I’ve been away for a while. Like, a LONG while.
And it has been with a stressed and heavy heart.
I’ve been wanting to nothing but blog, blog, blog.
But life has had other plans for me.
This summer we were incredibly busy with house fix-er-upper projects.
Literally, every weekend for a very long time was
held hostage by long overdue projects.
New roof, new landscaping, staining the house, fixing up rooms.
EXHAUSTING.
Even post-cruise I was exhausted.
Hello, vacation from vacation? Yes please!
But not a real possibility.
This weekend was the first weekend we really had to ourselves in a long time.
Well, I did go into work yesterday for a few hours,
but the rest of it was mine!
I can proudly say that today I didn’t even change out of my pajamas.
True story.
And it was awesome. Like, literally, incredible!
And it was everything I needed to finally get back to myself.
So this week I’ll be back to regular blogging
{and blog-reading!}.
Be ready for lots of pictures!

I've had weeks like that too. Sometimes you just need a jammie and couch day. 🙂

I LOVE days where I don't change out of my PJs! but sadly, I do it like 3-4 times a week with the kids. Hahaha!

Down weekends are the best. That is how I try to spend at least one day of most of my weekends. However, the last couple of months have been capital-C Crazy and I don't see it settling down until after the holidays…at which point, I will be in the throes of wedding planning, so… maybe I can breathe again in 2013? ::sigh:: good stuff can be just as exhausting as hard stuff, I swear.
