The Taste of Hudson, presented by Akron Children’s Hospital, is celebrating 10 years this Labor Day Weekend. This annual family-friendly event brings together a love for food, art, music and family fun. Located in picturesque downtown Hudson, Ohio, the festival runs August 31st and September 1st (Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend). The event is taking place on the iconic Clocktower Green, adjacent to the First & Main shopping district (home of my favorite local salon, childrens boutiques, and running store!).
Local restaurants come out in full force with sample taste sizes of their popular and unique fare (just enough food so that you can taste away to your heart — and belly’s — desire!). In addition to the food, free music can be enjoyed on six different stages and families will appreciate dozens of interactive displays and activities for children of all ages. Little Tikes, Jo-Ann Stores, and Primrose School anchor the children’s areas with fun activities. Stage shows, inflatables, playzones and crafting fun!
The Taste of Hudson has no admission fee. Food and beverages may be purchased with pre-loading dining cards, which are available for purchase and loading at the festival.
Personally, I can’t wait to try out the family-friendly events and food options before handing Moosh off to a family member so that Mama and Dada can enjoy some adult time in the North End Wine and Beer garden with the Heart Tribute band Sunday night! Bonus? A few of my fave restaurants will be there! Can’t wait!
Sidenote: There’s also a 5k Race — the Race To The Taste 5k — on September 1st at 9 am! I’m unable to run it this year, but last year I ran it (and I think I PR’d!). Moosh gave me some snuggles at the starting line so I’ll credit that for the awesome time!
