I spent 3 years of my undergrad in Buffalo, New York. And Buffalo is THE HOME of the chicken wing. It’s true! And, having travelled all over, I can tell you that a TRUE chicken wing from Buffalo is the most legit chicken wing you will ever eat. So you could say I’m really, really, picky about my chicken wings. I grew tired of trying to find the best local restaurant for chicken wings. But I really like that crispy outside layer that I’ve grown accustomed to. And with this Air Fryer Chicken Wings recipe is all of that — and more!

What You’ll Need
This recipe is simple, which you know I like. My one (well, two!) recommendations would be the following:
Number one — use bone-in chicken wings. Chicken strips or tenders just do NOT have the same result. Number two — make sure you’re using a really good air fryer. My preference is between this one and this one.

Here’s what else you’ll need:
- chicken wings, bone in (four pounds is the perfect amount)
- Cavender’s Greek seasoning
- olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Worcestershire sauce (2 tablespoons)
- white vinegar (1 tablespoon)
- 1/2 -1 cup of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce (or other barbeque sauce of choice)

- 1 Tablespoon of white vinegar
- 1/2 -1 cup of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce

In a mixing bowl, add the Cavender’s, oil, vinegar, and Worcestershire. Mix well.
STEP 2 -
Place wings in the bowl and coat well. Cover with plastic wrap.
STEP 3 -
Place wings in the fridge for 3-8 hours, the longer the marinade, the more tender the wing.
STEP 4 -
Place the wings in the air fryer basket, leave room between wings. Cook on 400 for 10-12 minutes.
STEP 5 -
Coat wings in BBQ sauce and cook on 350 for 5 minutes.
STEP 6 -
Let cool and ENJOY!
My suggestion would be to have chunky bleu cheese for dipping. Skip the ranch — the real deal is bleu cheese. And it’s worth the indulgence.
