I’m linking up with Shannon from Life After I Do to say
SO WHAT if…
- my biggest challenges in recent days have been: a. cutting my toenails; and b. figuring out how to put my underwear on without being able to bend over very much.
- I’ve had my baby shower thank you cards written + addressed for 2 weeks but haven’t sent them. The post office has been one of the last places I’d like to run an errand to lately.
- Chad had to comfort me during a late-night anxiety attack surrounding our babies pending arrival the other night. I was feeling straight up overwhelmed with the idea that I’m going to be experiencing something that I’ve never experienced before. Both awesome and terrifying at the same time.
- I’m counting down the days to maternity leave. Yeah, I don’t want him to come before my October 9th due date no matter what {Have I mentioned why? If he comes on his due date, that puts my 12-weeks maternity leave thru the end of the year which = having the holidays off = awesomesauce}. But I am looking forward to having some time at home with the babe and husband.
- I called Chad while he was working yesterday and ended up freaking him out a bit. Oops. Guess that happens when it’s close to DD. But dang it! I really wanted to whine about being hangry at work. Why is it that there’s not a Mac & Cheese delivery place again?? Blah! I so would’ve ordered from it yesterday if there were.
- the clean laundry from Sunday is still sitting in the basket, unfolded, in our living room. A girls got priorities — like blogging and watching the train wreck that is the Real Housewives of New Jersey finale.
- I totally unhooked my bra at work for like 10 minutes at my desk yesterday. Underwire in the last trimester is not recommended, folks. It was killing my ribs + I couldn’t breathe. And no one
except the women around me that I blabbed toknew about it. Whatevs.
What are you saying SO WHAT to this week?
LEAH!
Aww girl, it’s all normal. And yes having a baby is overwhelming. But you will be amazing. All that ‘mothers instinct’ business kicks in. And keep on reading ‘what to expect’ and ‘what to expect the 1st year’ and they will be like gold to you. Get some frozen stoufers mac & cheese’s! enjoy pregnancy cravings while they last. food will never be as delicious and ‘guilt free’ as it is now 🙂 Leah @ Lovely Life of Leah
