  • This week has been way crazier than I anticipated it being. It was short on sleep, short on hours, but big on activity.
  • I’m hoping that the weather doesn’t prevent my BFF + I from hanging out this afternoon. We have a cupcake + wine date!
  • I would pay one of my friends in Buffalo/Syracuse to send me some sponge candy. It’s a candy/chocolate that can only be bought in Western New York. And it is amazeballs.
  • Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of when we found out we were pregnant. Talk about putting the past year into perspective! It’s crazy to think about how our life was just one year ago.
  • I’m keeping things short + sweet today. Things are way too busy around here. But my dad is coming up from Kentucky tonight so hopefully tomorrow I’ll have a bit more time to spend behind the computer. Cause hopefully Grandpa will be playing with his smitten little Babycakes!

omg… I LOVE Spongecandy!!! you have to get it from Fowlers Chocolate. If I were home right now, I’d send you some. But we moved form NY last summer. My mom still sends me some sometimes. ooo actually.. after some googling….

You can buy it here…http://www.fowlerschocolates.com/catalog/p-100021/sponge-candy I’d get it now while it’s still cool out. The heat makes the spongey part not so great in the mail. 🙂

They have sponge candy in Erie, PA too… I tend to pick some up at Stefanelli’s (http://www.stefanelliscandies.com) when I am visiting my Erie family!

Darn, yesterday I tried using the comment form you have linked in Google Reader and apparently it never went through!

My parents put sponge candy in our stockings so I’ve recently had my fix (looking forward to Easter). I’ve attempted to make it a few times with rock hard candy as a result. Last time I was home, I got some tips from a local chocolate shop. I haven’t made any since then, but hopefully I’ll be successful. I’ll let you know, and I can be your local source!
