A lovely reader recently asked me about the personal finance blogs that I have found myself to be recently addicted to.
So I’ve decided to devote some time to personal finance and ‘frugality,’ if you will, on this blog. Right now, I have zero advice to give, so I will just share my favorite resources with you.
I, like many people I know, have a bit of trouble keeping up with all of the blogs I follow. But there is one blog(ger) whose blog(s) — yes, two — I read every.single.day.
So the first two blogs I want to direct you to are the following:
Fabulously Broke in the City and the Everyday Minimalist.
If you take a few minutes to check them out you’ll notice that the Everyday Minimalist is not a personal finance blog. It’s a blog about living a minimalist lifestyle. So while it may not be a PF blog, there is certainly a great deal of good-reads about keeping expenses down by simplifying your life.
I don’t anticipate practicing a strict minimalist lifestyle, but I like the idea of limiting consumerism.
However, if you read her other blog, Fabulously Broke in the City, you’ll get a huge daily dose of frugality through money management! You don’t have to be an economist to figure out the concepts she talks about on her blog; it’s legitimately a blog about how she got herself out of debt and how she continues on a path towards high-savings and frugal-living.
These blogs are real, well-written, and a great starting point for someone just getting into the realm of personal finance blogs.

Hmmm frugal. Like bundling up and having your gas heat set to 50 and blocking off two rooms to run a space heater in, and leaving your hot water turned almost off until you shower or do dishes…so your combined electric and gas bills are a mere $120 a month!?
Yea, i got frugal!
But its totally worth it!
