oh baby! 30 weeks!

How far along? 30 weeks + 3 days.

How big is the baby? Baby L is between 2.5 and 3.8 pounds and about 15.2 – 16.7 inches long! Which thebump.com considers to be the size of a cucumber {?? Not really sure if I’ve ever seen a 3.8 pound cucumber before… but whatev}.

Total weight gain? 27 pounds – only up 2 pounds from 2 weeks ago! Doctor says I’m right on track!

Stretch marks? Still just the few that Chad found last week. And ya know? I’m not overly concerned about stretch marks. I’ve heard they either happen or they don’t. Not much you can do about them. And no need to fret. It’s natural ๐Ÿ™‚

Sleep: I’ve been waking up often to pee. My getting out of bed has turned into heaving my body/belly out of bed. And subsequently waking Chad up in the process. I’ve continued to wake up for good around 4:30-5:00 am and get quite a bit done. I’m really enjoying my ‘quiet time’ with just my thoughts in the early hours.

Movements: He’s still moving + having the hiccups a lot. I told my doctor that earlier this week I was having pelvic pain. He said that as long as there is no bleeding I should be OK and that it’s likely from Baby Boy shifting himself onto a nerve that is particularly uncomfortable. Hm.

Food cravings: The idea of eating a brownie is awesome. The actual eating of a brownie? Not as awesome. I’ve never really been a chocolate person. But OMG. I could dream of brownies all day long! Oh. And Chipotle. I don’t think I’ve mentioned how much I’ve been dying for Chipotle over the last few weeks. It doesn’t help that the girls at work talk about Chipotle non-stop. Pretty much any food you talk about non-stop in front of a pregnant chick will cause her to crave it. So thanks, girls ๐Ÿ˜›

Food aversions: Breaking News — I ate chicken! Not just once, but three times! Holy. Hell. But it was all breaded. Yuck to grilled chicken.

What I miss: Not a thing. I’m right where I should be. ๐Ÿ™‚

What I’m looking forward to: We will hopefully be painting the nursery this week! My mom is coming up from Kentucky to help us with some house things we desperately need to get done. It turns out I’m not much help in that department lately.
