How far along? 28 weeks + 4 days!
How big is the baby? He weighs between 1.5 and 2.5 pounds and is about 13.6 to 14.8 inches long! The size of an eggplant!
Total weight gain? OK. So ya know how up to my 24 week appointment I had only gained 12 pounds? Well, yesterday I had my 28.5 week checkup, and I asked again what my total weight gain had been. And. I. Am. SHOCKED. My total weight gain is at 25 pounds, y’all. That makes this past 4.5 weeks a total weight gain month(ish) of 13 pounds!! :O Now I guess I should pat myself on the back for having an appetite for the first time this pregnancy; cause prior to that 24 week appointment, I hadn’t been eating much at all. Doctor seems to think this is totally acceptable, and so do all of my previously pregnant mama friends. But I, on the other hand? Am still in disbelief.
Stretch marks? Still none! Yay!
Sleep: I’m waking up more frequently, and not just because I have to pee. I wake up for no reason around 2:30 AM and am fairly wide awake for at least a couple of hours. I’m also waking up really early just because my body is telling me to. Which is nice cause I am able to get a lot done π
Movements: Still moving a lot. I really love feeling his kicks. They are officially a source of comfort π I’m sure this is just the first of many times to come in the future that I will feel comfort from him.
Food cravings: Still just beef, cheese + root beer. Eh, there could be worse things to crave, right? π
Food aversions: Keep the chicken away, please {still!}.
What I miss: Nothing. π Maybe some of my old clothes, that’s it. I wore a dress yesterday that is not maternity and my boobs pretty much popped out of it. Oops!
I was chatting with a fellow pregnant twitter friend and both of us are kind of in disbelief that we have less than 12-weeks to go until our due dates. It’s crazy to think of how many items I need to knock off my to-do list before then! Crazy and terrifying, actually. So I’m trying to accept the fact that these next few months are going to be filled with emotions: terror, excitement, anxiousness, nervousness, etc.

You and your little baby bump are so cute!
Rachel
Thanks! π I’m definitely feeling (and looking) very pregnant at this point! π

You seriously look so adorable pregnant!!!! A baby the size of an eggplant is easier to picture than some of the more round veggies you’ve referenced lol

You look adorable! Don’t worry about the weight gain – I promise that most of it will come off rather easily at first! It’s usually the last 10 pounds that are ridiculously hard to take off π

With or without the weight gain, you look fabulous!! I’m stopping by from your email from SWW!! I love your blog!! I can’t wait to see the Little Mister when he comes out!
