How far along? 23 weeks + 1 day!
How big is the baby? Between 10.5 and 11.8 inches long, 12.7 – 20.8 ounces {and we know two weeks ago Baby L was 14 ounces, so I can only assume he’s bigger than that now!}. Baby L is approximately the size of a grapefruit!
Total weight gain? At this point I’m guessing between 10-12 pounds total. I’ve definitely “expanded” a bit from just a few weeks ago. My weight gain remained relatively normal/average, and now I’m starting to notice an increase in my belly size. I would have to assume that I’ve put on a couple more pounds as well!
Stretch marks? Still none! I’ve never been one to carry around extra weight {except for my freshman year of college!}, and with Baby L growing pretty rapidly the last few weeks, I’ve noticed I can’t see certain parts of my body anymore. Like below my belly button. So I’ve had my lovely husband checking for stretch marks in my lower abdomen. Either I have none, or he is being the best husband of all time. 😉
Sleep: Still hit or miss. I’ll have one really awesome night of sleep, followed by the most lousy, achy, uncomfortable sleep ever. I’m coming to accept that this is probably my sleep routine for the rest of my life.
Movement: TONS of movement still. The other day I was sitting at my desk at work and I’m pretty sure Baby L almost made me pee a little. He was kicking my bladder directly. And I seriously thought, “holy crap! He’s going to make me pee!” {TMI? I don’t care.} Like I seriously didn’t have to pee at all until he freakin’ roundhouse kicked my bladder. 🙂
Food cravings: Exactly the same as the last few weeks: Strawberries, root beer, beef, and mac + cheese.
Food aversions: Chicken. Still. Even that lovely organic chicken we just got from the CSA isn’t going to make me want chicken.
What I miss: Being just regular emotional instead of hormonal emotional. I was emotional pre-pregnancy, so I’m a wreck during pregnancy. Poor husband…
Milestones: We found out Baby L’s gender a couple weeks ago! Could not be happier to be having a little boy!

You look adorable!

You look so great! I love reading your pregnancy updates and re-living what it felt like (well, not all of it – definitely not missing the bladder kicks, the achy lack of sleep, or the nausea… but loved feeling all of the baby movement). Hopefully you’ll be able to rest a bit more this week and catch up on some Zs 🙂
