So I realize that I dropped the p-bomb and never really talked about it.
Well I’ve got a secret — it wasn’t just a surprise for you. Yep, def was a huge surprise for us, too {thanks, Vegas… LOL}.
How far along? 17 weeks. Officially out of my fourth month! ๐ Seems so weird
How big is baby? The size of an onion.
Total weight gain: 3.5 lbs-ish. I haven’t been able to eat very much at a time. I’ve been eating pretty much whatever I can, but carbs seem to be my sweet spot right now. If I eat a tiny bit every few hours, I’m OK.
Maternity Clothes? Yes. I have had to buy bigger bras already. Like a full cup size. Eek! And that was all from the first 8 weeks! But they’ve slowed down a bit. The other place where I’ve seen some growth would be my belly… or as
I call it, the pouch. Cause if you saw me on the street you’d probably just think I was getting a spare tire! So I’m a big fan of Gap Maternity jeans. No huge panel; comfy; and you would SO Never guess that they’re maternity jeans!
Stretch Marks: Nope.
Sleep: the first trimester kicked my butt — exhausted beyond belief. I seriously never imagined exhaustion like that was possible. But over the last 2 weeks, things have gotten a lot better. Thanks, in large part to a huge body pillow I bough from Amazon.
Movement: I haven’t felt any butterflies or anything yet. Hopefully soon!
Food Cravings: Rootbeer. And carbs. Especially carbs covered in cheese (like grilled cheese – yummm!). And beef. Lots of hamburgers. It’s really strange, I know.
Food Aversions: Chicken. It is seriously disgusting.
What I miss: My smaller bras. Truth! Seriously, I don’t know if I can handle these bad boys growing anymore. And I’ve still got 5 months to go! Eek!
What I am looking forward to: I’ve found myself looking forward to every Monday — it’s another week down in the pregnancy books! and every doctors appointment. I’ve been counting down the weeks/days!
Milestones: We made it past the first trimester! And have had an ultrasound, heard a strong heartbeat multiple times, etc.
I know this picture is from last week, but I haven’t taken one yet this week. And don’t mind my big booty. Seriously. I didn’t notice until we came back from Maine; and then I noticed in every picture, my butt looks HUGE.
One of the reasons that I’m worried about having a baby someday is my big boobs getting even bigger! Sorry if that is TMI but I think its a legit worry!!!!
You look amazing though and I can tell from this picture you have that glow!
You look great! So excited for y’all!
Oh yea and chicken is so disgusting to me too! Ground beef is my BFF. I wonder if that means were having the same sex child!
rootbeer is my every day non-pregnant craving. Especially from the rootbeer stand in the form of a yummy gallon of goodnessl bonus if you get a float. ugh.
You look great! And I know what you mean about the bra sizes – I went way up 3 whole sizes and felt like it was out of control :-/ I told my husband repeatedly that I was getting a breast reduction ASAP once Joe was born, ha! I’m actually smaller now than I was pre-pregnancy (10.5 months postpartum), so it does get better ๐
So…what happens in Vegas apparently DOESN’T stay in Vegas! LOL!
It definitely does not! LOL! Lesson learned! ๐
Boobs! Aaah! But seriously, my boobs grew up until 4 or 5 months and although they’ve gotten a bit bigger since then but I haven’t had to up my size since that time. My butt also got bigger. But I have only one week left until baby gets here so I can’t complain too much… except at my post-partum body! Eeek!
