my weekend summed up and the mantra

Summing up my weekend…

…when you can’t open a jar of salsa, a yoga mat will help you open it and do the trick!

…when you live alone and follow a recipe for homemade mac n cheese, you will be eating mac n cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a week.

…being in bed by ten on a Friday night with a belly full of Yeungling and Moe’s is pretty much perfect.

…when you accidentally leave a post it in the back pocket of your jeans, all of your clothes will have little blue spots on them when they come out of the washer.

…Man vs. Food is pretty much the greatest show ever. I hope BF doesn’t mind that I totally have a crush on Adam. Which is massively disgusting based on the amount of binge eating he does.

And, of course, no Monday would be complete without the Monday mantra:

This week I will work my butt off!

I believe in sleeping in and shopping smart.

I’m addicted to cleaning!

I wish that my eye was NOT red and swollen.

I’m jealous of no one!

Soundtrack/Mantra for the week: All will be well.

I am now seriously wishing I had thought of the yoga mat idea a week ago. I'm pretty sure I walked past mine at least a handful of times while yelling to the apartment “I can't open this jar!” Only, you know, with more expletives.

I hear you about the Mac-N-Cheese. It was so hard to learn to cook for just 2 people!

Cooking for one is a pain in the rear sometimes. It helps to look at the servings the recipe will produce & then pare down the ingredients to make fewer. Some recipes you can't do this with but many you can. =)

we tend to make one big dish so we can have it for dinner and lunch. and also that bit between coming home from work and eating a new dinner. sometimes pasta just tastes better the next day.

I seriously laughed out loud regarding the yoga mat and salsa jar, but you are so right, PERFECT material for those sticky jars!
