I’m an obsessive list-maker. OB-SESSIVE. I keep a list in my phone of “things I need to add to my to-do list.” Granted, some of this extra-obsessiveness is because of my severe pregnancy brain. I can’t remember anything. Nada.
And there are things that I come across on the interwebs that I feel like “OMG! I have to share this with everyone!”
Here’s my list of awesome + inspirational + pretty finds over the last few weeks:

- This Monarch Butterfly Mobile. – via etsy shop Belles Nursery Decor. Think it’s too girly for a yellow/gray nursery? I feel like bending some gender stereotypes. Plus, I haven’t found many others I’m in love with.
- A Conversation with Laura Shanley on Unassisted Childbirthing. Not my plan, but an interesting podcast, nonetheless. – Podcast via EnTheos Radio
- Staying Healthy Under Stress – blog post via Amy ofCoffee and Sunshine. Great read!
- J.Crew Cashmere Baby Sweater. – via J.Crew. Adorable? Yes. $135 (+ free shipping – LOL) worth of adorable? Hell no. But I love to window shop.
- It’s Your Special Day! Plate – via etsy shop Aedriel Originals. Love it.
That mobile is adorable! So is the sweater, but not for $135, ha ha!
My mom had a plate like that for us when we were kids, on our birthday we ate all our meals off of it and still to do this day she will get it out as a joke. Its a special memory I will always have!
Rachel..I could seriously go crazy at JCrew in the Crew Cuts section. Their stuff is freaking ADORABLE!!!! But when you start to see how bad the kids beat their stuff up and how quickly they grow out of it…you will easily be able to turn your head. Hahaha! But it is fun to window shop 🙂 And that butterfly mobile is precious.
Love your favorite things this week! I definitely need to try to heed the first piece of advice. I usually fly out of bed, rush around getting ready, let the dogs out, feed the cat and fly out the door with a tupperware bowl of cereal. Not a great start to any day!
I’m going to be honest, I do think the monarch butterflies are a little girly. I do agree with bending gender roles but I’m sure there is a compromise between butterflies and baseballs!
I want that plate. And that sweater. Although the dog would have to wear it for now.

That mobile is adorable! Almost feels like a real life flock of butterflies swooping down. And I’m glad I do at least 3 out of 5 of that list (: That plate is too cute, too!
I was searching for mobiles for months! After choosing my favourite one ( http://lifestyleetc.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/smoke.jpg
and finding out it’s discontinued) I decided not to get any. I have a boy too, my wall is white with dark brown tree decal, I love the white ones but didn’t think it would show enough.

The mobile is a little girly. So what? Babies don’t care if something is masculine. He will like looking at anything that is hanging from above.
