I saw my first trailer of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo a few months ago. I’m pretty sure the BF had to hold me down — I was practically leaping out of my uncomfortable and gross theater seat — my excitement was so out of control.
And for the last week, I’ve been stalking fandango for pre-screening tickets. Full on stalking.
Sidenote: if you have not yet read the three books, beginning with the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, you should. I don’t say that about any many books. But this series is incredible.
After I read all three books, I attempted to watch the Swedish version of the movie. But the subtitles were awful. And Mikael Blomkvist was incredibly unattractive {yes, that’s important, when he’s portrayed as a super-stud in the books}.
So yesterday I hurried my butt from work to the closest Regal. Who needs food when you have a giant Coke Zero and a bucket of popped corn? {turns out, I did. I was starved by the time that movie let out!}

And I loved every second of this 2 hour and 38 minute movie.
The best part? Direct dialogue from the book! The movie followed the book almost exactly. There were only a few artistic liberties taken with plot and none that I can think of with the characters. {and, yes, we dissected the movie, looking for differences, afterward!}
I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars! 🙂 Now go see it!

Oh goooood!! I can't wait to see this! I was obsessed with the books…and I always get nervous when they make a book into a movie…you know, the fear that they won't do it justice:)

I'm glad you compared the swedish movie to the american movie. I didn't make it through the whole movie (swedish version) and I wanted to finish it before seeing the american version…but I think I'll just go see it.
…once I'm finished watching every single harry potter movie – my mom got me the box set 🙂
