This week I will smile; I will breathe; and I will stay positive.
I believe in taking time to do things you want to do. This weekend I had some quality ‘me’ time and it was well worth it. I cleaned, I cooked, I baked, I crafted, and I loved every second of it. Yes, even the cleaning part. It felt good to check it off my to-do list!
I’m addicted to Pinterest. I know I’ve said this before, but seriously everything I did this weekend was because of Pinterest. Every craft, every meal, every dessert…. thanks to Pinterest. Ahh! Pinterest, you’re taking over my life! I seriously couldn’t cook just one meal for dinner on Saturday; I cooked two entrees. Two desserts. Two post-dinner crafts. It would have been three, but I forgot something at the store.
I wish to win the lottery. What? A girl can dream, right? A few of us from work go in on the mega millions. And then for days we dream in ‘what-ifs.’ For instance, my “if I won the lottery” story goes like this: If I won the lottery, I’d pay off my student loans and our house, and I’d do something with my life that I actually want to do (like get teacher trained in yoga) and move somewhere. Sigh. Dreams…
I’m happy because I have a job; I have an amazing family; a loving boyfriend; and a lovely life.
Mantra for the week: “Living with integrity means: Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships. Asking for what you want and need from others. Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe.” — Barbara De Angelis

I have a pinterest account but I have yet to actually do anything on it. I’ve pinned a few things but otherwise nada because I’m afraid I’ll get addicted too and currently I have no place in my condo for stuff!

Andrew and I talk about winning the lottery all the time – I would do the same: pay off my loans, pay off our house, pay off my parents house and then do lots of traveling and volunteer work.
I love your mantra, integrity has become something I really need to value more!!!!
Have a great week lady ๐

Aaaaah – I love Pinterest, too! It’s so addicting! All of my meal plans come from here lately, and it’s how I keep my life organized ๐

Ahh definitely following you on Pinterest now (my username is _nikolett), such a great way to get ideas for cooking (and I found a ton of teaching ideas, too). Glad you got to have some ‘me’ time, that’s always so important each week. And I’m so jealous of all the US residents winning your giveaways haha ๐

I’d pay off my mortgage too. I’ll always be grateful for the fact that I’ve been able to afford a mortgage, but I’m not going to lie; I’d prefer not to have it hanging over me longer than necessary.
But before that, I’d put enough away so that, in all likelihood, I’d never have worry about money again. And I wouldn’t touch that money unless it was an emergency.
And I certainly wouldn’t splash out on anything like Ferrari or a private jet or, Heaven forbid, a diamond encrusted toilet. I can’t say I’ve got any desire to possess any of those now, so I don’t see why a Lottery win should change that. Gaming and travelling are the two things I really wish I could do more of, so if I won the Lottery, I’d always have the latest PlayStation and I’d travel wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted.
But I’d imagine that most of what I won would stay in the bank, until something occurred to me, much as my disposable income does now.
But anyway, on the subject of Pinterest, I’ve never requested an invite, because I know perfectly well it would make short work of my free time. ๐ I just had a look at the homepage, which was a mistake, as just by doing that I’ve discovered several things I’d love to try. So perhaps it wasn’t a mistake…. ๐
