Yoga last night was AMAZING. I am so glad I found Terri’s class @ Cleveland Yoga. I usually take classes taught by Amy, Tami, or Parker, so this class is a HUGE change of pace (as much as Power Vinyasa Yoga can ‘change’ between teachers). I love it!
After yoga I went out with my sister and a couple of friends for a beer. Wow. Haven’t really had a drink in a while. Who knew a couple beers would make me feel like that!? Not again for a while!
I woke up this morning, already having the intention of calling off of work to run some very important errands. I thought I would get up and go to a 6:15 yoga class (yes, on my day off I had every intention of getting up just as early). But that didn’t happen. And that’s ok! There’s always tomorrow. ๐ I slept in until 10am! Woah! ๐
Took the dog to the vet. Nothing major. He was just due for a rabies vaccination. I had the doc check his ears too (he’s a cocker spaniel and his ears get infected a LOT and stink!). I don’t mind taking him to the vet, but holy $100 vet bill! Outrageous! $18 just for the cotton swab to look at his infected ears? WTF. But oh well. It’s gotta be done.
Then I went to the one place I vowed NEVER to go to again. Wal-Mart. Yes. I had to go there. Why? Because it’s the ONLY place that sells Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. Seriously THE best hummus ever. Aaaaannnndddd it’s only sold at Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club or Costco. All of the places that I hate. So I sucked it up and went to the place that I hate the most.
Then off to the Whole Foods Market — one of my favorite places in the whole world! Going to make pulled pork with the boyfriend tomorrow so we needed a couple things. BUT of course I also picked up a few other goodies (Morningstar Farms Veggie Buffalo Chicken Bites, cookies, pita–for the hummus, of course, fruit and some blackberry wine!). I had to convince myself to leave Whole Foods… I could stay there for hours.
After Whole Foods I ran to Starbucks (surprise, surprise). I think I get headaches if I don’t get my daily Starbucks fix… sad, I know. It was nice to drive down to CF and not be in a hurry. I knew the BF would still be working, so I wasn’t as worried about driving, which I usually dread. So when I got here, I started my good-girlfriend duties! Folded some laundry; put the groceries away; cleaned the bathroom; did the dishes; did some investigating for a new washer. These are actually all things I don’t mind at all doing anyways, so it isn’t a big deal. ๐
So what does this all mean? All I’m really trying to say, is a GREAT day. Sometimes you just need to take a day off work to do the things that need to get done. AND to relax, which is what I will be doing for the rest of the night.
Hope everyone else is having a great Thursday! One more day til the “real” weekend begins!
I’m with you, Rach. Mental health days are huge…of course, I suppose my mental health is off EVERY day! (:
I started taking “mental smoke breaks”! It’s the smoke break for the non-smoker ๐>>Ps. I seriously drive people nuts in Whole Foods or Wild Oats because I want to go down every single isle and stay there for hours seeing if I can find any treasures…another reason we are BFF’s for life no matter what ๐ xoxo Love you.
