Perhaps I was a bit wrong about being on vacation and sticking to Weight Watchers being really easy… Also? Between cleaning the house, catching up on work, and trying to fall back into our routine, this fitness update never came last week. Where is the accountability, y’all!?!

Weight Watchers //

I weighed myself this past Tuesday — the first time in two weeks. I gained a pound and a half. Which totally sucks. But I completely know why. On vacation I ate french fries TWICE. Fried fish once. And drank more than my fair share of wine.

So I’m not surprised. And I jumped right back on the wagon when we got home.

And on my weigh in this morning I lost a total of 3.5 pounds!! SO excited!

Workouts //

In the last 7 days I’ve run a total of 15 miles.

The weather has been incredibly cooperative. On vacation we had 95 degree days and 90 percent humidity. But at home in Ohio? The weather has been amazingly Autumn-ish! Which is wonderful. And has made running pretty awesome.

Aside from the awesome weather and clocking the miles, I’ve not done much. A few yoga poses at home is about all I’ve done this last week. And my legs have not thanked me. Cause I am SORE. Like, crazy shin splints, a flare up of my stress fractures, and just plain ol’ sore muscles. Ugh.

Food //

I’ve mentioned so many times before that we eat a mostly clean diet. But dang it, I’ve been craving a hamburger for days now. I know that I should just have a teeny hamburger, but it’s hard to justify the points. Ya know?

Looking forward //

I have my runs planned out for the next week and a half. And I’ll take a couple of days off before running two back-to-back 5ks on the 17th! Eek! Exciting!

In the meantime, I’ll continue to balance the day-to-day happenings with my efforts to get back into my pre-pregnancy shape! 🙂

Great job!! You should look into orthodics for your shin splints–they helped with mine a ton!! Also get a foam roller for your hips and thighs — helps release them after a good workout 🙂 oh and last thought — you can eat a clean burger!! Get 98% lean ground beef (or bison) use egg whites and oatmeal with your spices to hold them together and then skip the bun if you want to be really good!!!

Vacations really know how to screw a girl up, don’t they?? My trip to Michigan cost me at least 2 pounds and that was in addition to the other 3 or 4 that I’ve added this summer! I’ve been such a bad girl!! But if I am going to squeeze back into my skinny jeans this fall…I better get cracking. But why does wine and food have to be SO GOOD?!!!

I know how you feel I too have gained weight this summer, and I also have had a muscle strain to top it all off. You can read about it on my blog the fit foot
