Weight Watchers //
Well, putting my nose to the grindstone was completely worth it this week. After weighing myself yesterday morning, I’m down 4 pounds from last week. Which means that stubborn pound I gained last week was likely made up of mostly water weight.
What I did differently //
Honestly? I stayed away from the Diet Coke this week; drank a LOT more water; and, not gonna lie, a bit of Sugar-Free Red Bull!
I also really listened to what my body was saying. Like, to rest. So I skipped some morning workouts and slept in instead. Sometimes I forget how important recovery days are in this process.
Workouts //
My workouts stayed about the same as usual. Even one less run than usual. It’s proof that regardless of the miles I put in, or the workouts I log, the proof is in the food! And the water. All. The. Water!!
Food //
I increased my protein intake last week. I realized it keeps me fuller for longer without making me feel tired and bloated. Gosh I wish carbs had the same effect! Ha! Wouldn’t that be nice?!
Looking forward //
This week I’m going to try and do much of the same as last week. It’s hard being easy on myself. But I’m going to try not to stress about workouts, food, and weight loss. But that’s what I’m going to try and do.
Oh and that “accidental” 5k I signed up for?? Well it’s coming up on Labor Day. My goal is to run it in 28:30 or less. Being that my last 5k was just over 28 minutes. But we’ll see. It’s weird to think I’m officially “setting goals” for 5ks again. It feels SO good!
Other randomness //
There are only a couple of weeks left before Pretty Muddy Columbus. If you haven’t signed up to run with me yet, do it!! It’s going to be so much fun!

Congrats on the four pounds girlfriend!!! I def agree with the water!! Water is so good for you! And you can switch it up by adding lemon, cucumber,
Mint, berries, or whatever you like! I also totally agree with protein. It’s key in losing weight and working out!
Keep it up! Good Luck with the 5k!

oh yea, I’m all about rest days, when your body tells you it needs something, you do it. If you hurt yourself, you are sidelined, and can’t do anything! great job on your 4lbs!!!
