Fitness Fridays // Finding Inspiration

You guys!
The love I received from yesterdays post is amazing!
Thank you! XO

So let’s talk fitness.

Or more specifically, on finding inspiration.

A coworker and I were recently discussing how at times when we were in the best shape of our lives,
we felt like we still didn’t look good.
Or not good enough.

We started going through old pictures.

And then it hit me.

I don’t want to look like these girls in magazines or on TV…

I want to look like this:

This is me circa 2008. Not all that long ago.
[PS. I’m a goof. Hence, most pictures I look like a complete weirdo.]

I was all of a size 2,
muscular,
eating healthy,
working out,
practicing yoga,
and in the best shape of my life.

I want this again:

That feeling comfortable and confident in my own skin.

That is the motivation I need.

Seriously.

I can do this.

I will work hard and get this body back!

Where do you find motivation?

I have my goal jeans hanging in front of my treadmill and skinny pics on the fridge. I just know I have to stick with this diet and get into a solid workout routine, and not beat myself up when it doesn’t happen overnight.

You have the right mindset (wanting to be the best YOU you can be, not what the media thinks you should look like) so because of that you can definitely achieve your goals!

Also, I love all your photos 🙂 You rock my socks!

Stopping by from the Daily Dose of Davis Fitness Friday link up…. I can totally relate to being in the best shape of your life but not feeling “good enough.” That is what I am going through right now and it’s tough because you’ve come sooooo far but you don’t feel successful yet. Old pictures are great motivation! I have no doubt you will be back to your confident 2008 self in no time!

Old pictures are AWESOME motivation!! And you are right…when I see pictures of me right before our wedding when I was in the best shape ever…I remember not feeling that great about my body. And of course now, I would KILL for that figure!! My new motivation is going to be buying my bathing suit this month and trying it on EVERY week. I am convinced that the sheer horror of seeing my pale, post-holiday belly in a swimsuit will kick my motivation into high gear!! We can do this girlfriend!!!!
