Every Move // Review

Being healthy and active really translates into turning your entire lifestyle into a focus of health and well-being. There are so many products on the market geared towards healthy-lifestylers. I, myself, take full advantage of many of them — I track every run/walk/bike ride with RunKeeper; I use my Jawbone UP to monitor my daily activity and to notify me when I’ve been idle for too long; and I use MyFitnessPal to track my caloric input/output!

I recently had the opportunity to ‘test out’ a new fitness and active lifestyle based app, EveryMove!

Here’s what it’s all about:

EveryMove is on a mission to get the millions of Americans who are investing in their health the recognition and real-life rewards they deserve! Join an infectious, can-do community of EveryMovers who use their favorite tracking devices and apps to earn points for their active days. Our patent-pending EveryMove points system translates hundreds of different physical activities into a common metric, which allows users the freedom to switch up their tracking devices and workouts and interact with friends, no matter how they choose to move.

EveryMove encompasses all of the fitness apps into one platform — RunKeeper, Nike+, Jawbone, Foursquare checkins, your employer healthcare information and more, to assign “points” based on activity levels! Once you reach a certain number of points you earn rewards which can be redeemed for discounts on athletic products. Plus at certain point levels you earn donations towards charities.

Thus far I’ve yet to purchase anything with the discounts, but I have enjoyed seeing my healthy activities going towards worthy causes!

The point system is definitely fun, even if it means nothing in the grand scheme of life. But apps like this are awesome to help entice people to make healthy choices and turn them into healthy habits. Who doesn’t like a little friendly competition in the name of points and wellness?? Am I right?! Now sign up and friend me on EveryMove so we can ‘compete’ against each other!

Disclosure: I was offered early access to EveryMove to post a review of the app. As always, all opinions are my own!
