Like all points during that dark part of Winter, we’re all trying to keep ourselves as healthy as possible. Even when we’re in the midst of *gestures* all of this. The Starbucks Medicine Ball is one of the best ways to kick a cold (and everything else). Two years ago, in the midst of stay at home orders, I decided to try and make my beloved cold-kicking drink myself. And I’ll honestly never go back to buying it. This copycat Starbucks Medicine Ball recipe is spot-on!
What you’ll need
The recipe itself is so easy that you’ll kick yourself for ever paying for one of these in the drive-thru line!
The ingredients –
- 3/4 cup of water
- 3/4 cup of lemonade
- 1 bag of mint tea
- 1 bag of peach tea
- 1-2 drops of peppermint extract
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 lemon or 1 orange
- 3 sprigs of fresh mint leaves
That’s it! I would honestly recommend making this a couple of times a day when you’re feeling especially ill. It helps tremendously. The mint and peppermint extract really open up your throat and lungs, while the honey soothes and coats the throat.
