{true story tuesday}

February 16, 2010 by Rachel 12 Comments

Well kids, I’m back in Syracuse! And this weekend was fabulous! BF and I made a fantastic Valentines Day dinner. This is a picture of the lobster BLT sandwiches.

True story.

Mad Men is a truly addicting show. I wish I could watch it much faster than I am.

True story.

If you own a business and don’t have a website, chances are slim to none that I will never frequent your business. Just the way it is.

True story.

If your business, be it whatever, does not have a website, chances are slim to none that I will come to your establishment.

True story.

If your business does have a website with contact information, and I reach out to you, say for example to inquire about yoga class times on, hmm, I dunno, let’s say December 10th 2008… and you respond to me on… I dunno… Fabruary 16th 2010, chances are I’m not going to come to your place of business.

True story.

That really happened. Today.

True story.

I will be a good little blogger this week.

I’m lost without my computer. I wasn’t able to read blogs or do any online shopping last night at home.

True story.

It’s obvious that I’m addicted to my computer from that previous statement.

True story.

Without BFs knowledge, me and his cousin, A, may or may not have planned our eventual double-wedding. Her boyfriend decided we are all getting married in Vegas, complete with Flamingos and Penguins.

True story.

This wedding planning may have happened while four martinis deep & me and A may or may not have taken pictures for our “Save the Date” cards.

True story.

The save the date cards will apparently only have me and A on them. No dudes included.

True story.

There is photographic evidence, which will make an appearance, but not until I get my computer back. Bummer.

True story.

BF is coming to Syracuse tomorrow night and so is my computer, not that I miss it or anything! I’m excited to spend New Years Eve with him.

I’m feeling like a complete Debbie Downer this last 24 hours. Not sure why. I’d realy like to move past it, but I’m struggling.

True story.

I’m not sure if it’s the weather, the lack of sunshine, or the holidays & being away from BF. My guess would be that it’s a combination of all of these things. It’s making me feel completely insecure.

True story.

All of this is making me really irrational in my thoughts… which I’m trying to prevent from becoming irrational behaviors.

True story.

But I only have two and a half days left of work and then I go to Ohio for Christmas!

True story.

I’m really excited to go to Ohio. I need to see BF right now. Need.

I was able to make it to Ohio late Saturday morning! Which means I got to spend about 24-hours of quality time with BF before having to leave to come back home!

True story.

It was well worth the (combined) ten hours of driving to spend just over 24 hours together.

True story.

I love my job. Really I do, but sometimes I just need to forget that it exists after 5pm.

True story.

Fifteen phone calls in an hour is completely unacceptable. If I don’t answer my (work) phone, it might be because I’m at lunch. The five-dollar credit your looking for, is not worth the 15 phone messages you just left me.

True story.

I have my first book club meet up tomorrow night… and I haven’t gotten very far with the book. Oops.

True story.

I know it’s only Tuesday, but I’m so exhausted already and cannot wait for the weekend.

This week I have skipped the gym two days. My body is just exhausted, but I still feel guilty and I’m pretty sure those 7 fun size Twix bars didn’t help.

True story.

I got my lovely apron in the mail on Saturday and proceeded to make two dozen cupcakes for work. If you haven’t, you should really check out this incredible Etsy shop.

True story.

Last night I went to the Blue Tusk with Tracy & Josh, whom I had never met before, and I had such a great time! And the food was delicious! A lobster BLT (minus the T, of course)! I will definitely eat there again.

True story.

I have the Junior League of Syracuse holiday party tonight! And I will be inducted as a new member tonight.

True story.

The party is being held at Pascale’s Wine Bar, so needless to say my dry spell at the gym will probably continue tomorrow morning.

True story.

I get to drive back to Ohio Thursday night to spend the weekend with BF! I’m really excited! It’s been 10 days too long!

Today I am donating blood for the first time. I’m a little nervous, but pretty excited that I get to do this. I’ve been wanting to for a long time, but haven’t been able to.

True story.

I have nine days (after today) separating me and BF! Only nine days! The fact that it’s single digits make me happy.

True story.

The ONLY Cyber Monday deal I found (that was worth it, at least) was the Alice.com gift card I bought. A $50 gift card for only $35! Woo hoo! I justified it by saying it was for groceries and that it was like getting $15 in groceries for free.

True story.

Other than that, I was some kinda major disappointed in the sales. Twenty-percent off is not a cyber Monday sale… that’s a normal, any day sale.

True story.

I am too exhausted to write anymore because I woke up at 3am to go to the gym again today. And I’m starving.

True story.
