I, like so many people over the last two years, have gathered the confidence to try so many new things. First it was sourdough starter. Then it was puzzles. I even became a plant mom! Eventually I found myself in the natural progression of making soft pretzels. Finally I became confident enough to TRULY create the perfect Auntie Anne’s Copycat Soft Pretzel recipe. It is seriously EVERYTHING you will ever want or need in a soft pretzel.
What you’ll need
You would think that this type of recipe you would need to have a lot of random items on hand. But that is just not the case. In fact, you’ll have almost all of these items in an ordinary kitchen. The one ingredient you may need to stock up on is active dry yeast, which you can find here.
I also highly recommend using an air fryer for these pretzels. The air fryer really gives them the perfect crisp!
Here are the ingredients:
- warm water
- 1 1/4 Tablespoons of active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt
- 4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of water
- 2 Tablespoons of baking soda
- 4 Tablespoons of butter
- Coarse kosher salt
That’s it! I can’t wait for you to try making these.
