It’s the most wonderful time of the year!! — the holidays!! I seriously don’t even know who I’ve become over these last few months. I’ve never been this pumped up about the holiday season!
Well, due to the recent concerns surrounding my health and the health of Baby Girl, Chad + I decided to cancel our plans to travel to Columbus Thanksgiving Day. That meant that we didn’t spend the holidays surrounded by tons of family. But that’s okay. Because Chad & I are creating our own traditions, complete with turkey and a mashed potato side dish! Cause that’s really all that matters for Thanksgiving, right!?
Between doctor appointments and work schedules, it was a busy week. So we are planned on keeping the holiday super low-key. Easy was the name of the game! Chad made a smoked turkey and I was in charge of the side dishes! Most important? Mashed potatoes. Obviously. The only problem is, I had other things to cook, too. So instead of laboring over potatoes, I used Betty Crocker Potatoes!

In addition, one lucky reader will win a Betty Crocker Pototoes prize pack valued at $50!! Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter!
Sometimes low-key is the way to go! Hope you got a nice mix of fun and rest over the holiday.
Smoked turkey sounds divine, btw!
I’m a baker so I’m baking – cookies, cupcakes, cakes for cakepops, brownies, etc.
Our favorite tradition is baking cookies together, my children get to pick a new recipe to try every year. This year we are trying Betty’s Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies
I would like to try doing hot cocoa bar around Christmas eve with my family
My wife has a tradition of sending cookies to everyone as a gift. My sister is the same way. We actually stock up on supplies throughout the year when they are on sale because she makes so much. I bet I have 40 bags of baking chips in our freezer, from chocolate to butterscotch.
Going on a cruise. It’s nice to get away. 🙂
Since my son is older, we have enjoyed picking out a live tree to bring home.
We like to decorate gingerbread houses.
One of our holiday traditions is baking a holiday treat and we lay all of the treats out on the table. You have to put it on the table secretly so no one else knows who made it. Then we make a guessing game out of it and try to figure out who made what treat.
Going home to spent time with my family but we always bake cookies and decorate together as a couple 🙂
I’m looking forward to some of my mom’s Christmas cookies.
Collecting toys and delivering them to Toys for Tots. And going caroling is another new tradition.
Our tradition is eating cookies after we get home from Mass on Christmas Eve!
Making ornaments!
We always have cookie exchanges!
We’re doing a christmas progressive. Now that my cousins and I live so close to each other, we’re doing a fun themed dinner on each day during christmas week!
