This Christmas was completely crazy.

Friday, on Christmas Eve, I scrambled to finish the cookies and chocolate covered pretzels for parties. In between baking, I managed to make a complete mess of our house. Clothes everywhere, wrapping paper covering every surface, and dirty dishes destroying our kitchen. The dogs were driving us insane by barking and freaking out over any hint of noise. And we felt super rushed.

But we made it to my parents, visited with them for a bit, and headed over to BFs cousins house. We had a fun time, as usual. But just felt worn out by the craziness of the day.

Saturday morning, we woke up and had breakfast with BFs dad, opened a couple gifts, and planned on heading to my parents for the remainder of the day. But my little sister called to tell me that my dad was taking my mom to the ER.

So we headed to the Emergency Room on Christmas Day. My mom had been having weird symptoms: red eyes, spots appearing all over her skin, a low-grade temperature and extreme fatigue. The doctors were worried it was an immune difficeincy that could attack her heart. The blood tests are still out and she was released after 5 hours in the hospital.

Exhausting. And my poor mother! All she was worried about was how we were hungry and there was a ton of food at their house for us! Sigh…

So when she was released, we headed back to their house, ate some dinner, opened gifts, and spent some time with them.

It was just a crazy crazy weekend.

I’m still recovering. More on Christmas later.

Wow, so sorry to hear about your mom! I hope they figure out what's wrong and that it's nothing!

In other news, you and BF are precious. 🙂
