This week will bring a short work week, but an incredibly awesome weekend! My sister is currently 34 weeks pregnant with her first baby and I’m incredibly excited to help host her baby shower this weekend in Columbus!

I’m grateful for a weekend that brought not only exhaustion, but plenty of family we don’t regularly get to see. And the best part? Watching Ari’s face completely light up upon seeing (and getting to play with) his cousins from Denver. That kids heart was so full this weekend. ♥

I’m content with my teeny family. Here’s the thing — I know that I’ve been Debbie Downer ’round these parts as of late. Most of that is NOT my fault. I recognize that. But, I seriously love my kiddos and my husband. I adore them. They drive me beyond bonkers, but I love them. I’ve mentioned (several times) before that I didn’t think I ever wanted to have children. Now? Now I cannot imagine my life without them. They are the reason I wake up in the morning and the reason I work hard at night when they are fast asleep.

I wish for sleep. Lots and lots of sleep. For everyone in my household. ‘Cause, let’s face it, if they don’t sleep, I don’t sleep.

Happiness is an easy bedtime routine. What?? Can’t a girl dream!? Oh — and no more firecrackers. I hope that all of you setting them off at all times of the night get knocked up unexpectedly (and for those of you too old to get knocked up, I hope you become young grandparents). #SorryNotSorry

Weekly Mantra:

Because let’s be serious… There are way more important things than having “stuff.” And I’m so happy to have surrounded myself with people that know and understand that.

But sometimes I have to remind myself of this when I see people sharing their ‘lives’ (yes, ‘lives’… because you don’t see the whole picture). Right?!

So cheers to experiences with people we love in places we won’t soon forget! I’ll pass on the expensive shoes. Let me just wear out this pair of TOMS by pounding the pavement with my tribe! xo
