My December Fit Challenge is underway! So it feels appropriate to do a midweek check in! Gotta hold myself accountable, right!??
Here’s what my workouts have looked like thus far:
Sunday – my workout was a head-to-toe cleaning marathon while Chad took Ari to the airport and grocery store! I sweated up a STORM! And then had a beautiful house to show for it.
Monday — 3.5 mile run during my lunch break!
Tuesday — yoga stretches! It was an easy day, but I still managed to fit in some hip openers.
Wednesday – today I’ve scheduled a lunch break run again! This time my goal is 5 miles. I know I can do it. The weather is supposed to be perfect and I have an audiobook queued up and ready to go!
Truthfully one of the reasons I started this challenge is because I seem to struggle, not because of the holidays, but because of the darkness. So so so much darkness. When I get home from work and feed Ari and put him to bed, the only thing I want to do is snuggle up on the couch and fall asleep. And truth — 99% of the time, I’m in PJs and ready for bed by the time I put Ari to bed. So I find ways to fit in workouts whenever I can. Even if that means running on my lunch break; even if that means ‘washing up’ in a sink after to make sure my coworkers aren’t completely disgusted by me; even if that means doing crunches in the living room while catching up on the DVR.
It’s true — the only workout I ever regret is the one that I don’t do. So I hope this post inspires you to hold yourself accountable; I hope it makes you feel like YOU can move too. Let’s do this!
